Windmill Lecture 2018

Wed 26 Sep 18

Green energy today

Book places using the form below.

Two hundred years ago the mighty grindstones of Brixton Windmill were driven by the wind. Inspired by the history of central London's only remaining windmill, the third annual lecture of Friends of Windmill Gardens is an exploration of the modern uses of renewable energy.

Agamemnon Otero of Repowering London describes solar energy projects in London (including Brixton Energy Solar 1); and Derek Taylor (Open University Energy & Environment Research Unit and Altechnica) discusses the modern windpower developments that are making a significant contribution to Britain's energy needs.

Their talks will be followed by a question and answer session.
