WINDMILL FESTIVAL: Sunday 11 July 2010

The festival was from 2pm to 5.30pm. A great big thank you from myself and the Festival group for all your support and hard work on the day of the festival. We could not have done it without you, it was a team effort. 879 people came to Windmill Gardens on the day.

Saturday 19 Sept 2009 - Windmill Open House

The windmill throws it's doors open to the public for guided tours inside the mill as part of www.londonopenhouse.org Saturday 19 September 2009, 10am - 4pm, and Sunday 20 September 11am - 4pm.

Windmill Festival 2008

These four summer activities this year in Windmill Gardens replace the annual FOWG festival, which has been so successful during the last four years. Because of the FOWG application to the Heritage Lottery Fund, for money to restore the Windmill to working order and the preliminary work on the windmill in anticipation of a major restoration, FOWG will not hold their usual summer festival in July.

Sunday July 6 2008 - Dance in the Park

One month later GOZART will again be joining forces with FOWG, this time to provide a children's workshop, during our Dance in the Park event.

Also planned is line dancing for adults and we have invited the much-admired flamenco dancers who performed to acclaim at recent FOWG summer festivals to once again show off their skills during the afternoon. So also mark Sunday July 6 from 1pm-5pm in your diary and come along and enjoy another entertaining afternoon.

Sunday June 8 2008 - Art in the Park

FOWG are working with GOZART a local group of artists and musicians who use recycled materials to get children to make wonderful masks and puppets.

If you fancy yourself as a bit of an artist or just fancy drawing or painting why not try your hand at capturing our historic windmill on paper? There will be a chance to do this during the afternoon of Art in the Park with skilled help on hand to give you advice and assistance. Join us in the park from 1pm-5pm on Sunday June 8. This is a fun event for local residents particularly children and their families.
